Called, commissioned, sent.

Thomas Roger was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo and grew up in Nyarugusu Refugee Camp in Tanzania. Life as a refugee introduced him to displacement, uncertainty, and the vital importance of community. It was there that his faith in Jesus Christ and his calling to ministry took root.

From 2014 to 2016 he completed two years of Bible studies in the camp and took part in Awana Sunday School training—equipping him for biblical teaching, discipleship, and ministry among children and families.

After arriving in the United States in 2016, he continued serving refugee and immigrant communities.
